ITC’s ₹1,200 cr IT hub gets green light in New Town, set to create over 5,000 jobs

The New Town Kolkata Development Authority has issued the occupancy certificate for ITC Limited’s new world-class IT and ITeS campus in Action Area-III of New Town. The facility has been developed on 17 acres of land allocated by the West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBHIDCO). The project involves an investment of approximately ₹1,200 crore.

The newly approved campus is expected to generate direct employment for more than 5,000 professionals. It is being positioned as a major IT and ITeS hub in the region, equipped with modern infrastructure to support large-scale operations in technology and services sectors.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated that the project will enhance West Bengal’s economic capacity and support the vision of Digital India. In an official message, she said, “This project will not only strengthen West Bengal’s economic power but also make the state a strong representative of Digital India.”
